Since its formation, the group now boasts over 400 members and has become an essential part of the Halton IT community with its unique and refreshing atmosphere.

Taking on the role of Pod Leader, Alan was responsible for co-leading a team of independent IT consultants performing in all areas of computer and technology services. Alan successfully grew the team from a mere four consultants to twenty-three while boasting the lowest recall rate of all teams and a consistent 98% or higher customer satisfaction rating.

As an IT Manager with Holderbank Engineering Canada, Alan led a team of seven IT professionals to support up to 300 users in the engineering division responsible for designing, constructing and renovating projects valued at over one billion dollars. He was responsible for streamlining their workflow by implementing pre-internet global email systems using Lotus Notes, upgrading from mini-computers to networked microcomputers, and by upgrading the entire company from DOS to Windows. He depreciated all technology to zero value over four years and maintained a program to replace all equipment every four years.
The top of their field until their dissembling in 1985, JRP Systems set the standard for Local Area Networking and Computer Aided Design. Responsible for the formation of LANDA (Local Area Network Dealers Association) and TRACE (Toronto Region AutoCAD), their staff proved themselves to be innovative members of the IT industry.
Alan was an irreplaceable member of the customer service team during his three year span with the company.
